WPM-C3
F.i. WPM C3 is a water-based, elastomeric, fibre reinforced waterproofing membrane designed for internal under tile wet area applications. The system forms a seamless, flexible waterproof barrier and provides crack-bridging protection for non-structural movement in compliant substrates. The membrane is applied as a minimum two-coat system and is compatible with polymer-modified tile adhesives.
Class III · AS/NZS 4858 · AS 3740

Where it is used
- Showers and bathrooms
- Laundries and toilets
- Commercial wet areas
- Kitchens
- Balconies and decks, tiled within 28 days
- Podiums and terraces, tiled within 28 days
- General under-tile waterproofing applications
Application
| Priming | Priming is mandatory. Porous substrates take F.i. Primer SD. Non-porous substrates take F.i. Primer NP. Damp or high moisture substrates take F.i. Vapour Barrier. |
|---|---|
| Coats | Apply a minimum of 2 coats by paint brush or long nap paint roller. Each coat must have a wet film thickness of 0.75 mm to achieve a dried film thickness of 0.45 mm. |
| Substrate | Concrete substrates need to cure for a minimum 28 days and 7 days for cementitious screeds and renders. External installations must be tiled within 28 days. |
| Detailing | Corners, junctions, joints and penetrations are detailed with F.i. Band peel and stick butyl backing tape, or with a 12 mm F.i. Hybrid Sealant fillet. |
Limitations
- Not recommended for submerged applications
- Not stable to ultraviolet light for longer than 28 days
- Not to be used as a trafficable finish or wearing surface
- Not intended as an exposed or trafficable membrane
- Not for waterproofing areas subject to rising damp or negative hydrostatic pressure. For these applications prepare with F.i. Vapour Barrier
- Not for covering or bridging over cold, construction, control or expansion joints
- Not to be applied below 8 °C or above 35 °C
- Protect from rain and moisture during curing
